Master of Pharmacy (Pharmacy Practice)
M.Pharm in Pharmacy Practice is a two-year clinical postgraduate programme structured as per the Pharmacy Council of India (Master of Pharmacy Course Regulations, 2014) and the syllabus prescribed by Kerala University of Health Sciences. The course trains B.Pharm graduates to function as clinical pharmacists in hospitals, contributing directly to patient care.
The first year (Semester I & II) covers Clinical Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacotherapeutics, Hospital and Community Pharmacy, Clinical Research and Clinical Pharmacokinetics & Pharmacotherapeutic Drug Monitoring. The second year (Semester III & IV) is devoted to clinical postings in hospital wards along with seminars, journal clubs and an independent research project leading to a dissertation.
Graduates are equipped to provide medication therapy management, patient counselling, drug information services, ward rounds, adverse drug reaction monitoring and pharmacovigilance โ playing a key role in the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Clinical Training
ELIMS College of Pharmacy has an MOU with Daya General Hospital Ltd, Thrissur and Speciality Surgical Centre, Thrissur where M.Pharm Pharmacy Practice candidates undergo daily clinical postings in general medicine, surgery, paediatrics and intensive care under the supervision of clinical preceptors and consultants.

Eligibility
Candidates must have passed B.Pharm from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST as per KUHS norms). Candidates must qualify the GPAT examination conducted by NTA, or the Kerala State PG Entrance Examination, as per current admission norms.
How to Apply
Admission to M.Pharm seats is regulated by the Kerala University of Health Sciences and the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Kerala based on the centralized PG allotment process. 50% Merit seats are filled through the rank list prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations; Management quota is filled by KSSPCMA.
